Columbia’s community Blessing Boxes have sprung up all over town, and this year we are once again gathering donations for one that’s close to our office. It’s in the parking lot of St Luke’s United Methodist Church on Ash St in Columbia, just down the hill from us.
This holiday season, we’re going to be collecting pantry items for the Blessing Box, and would love to add your contributions, too! We will be gathering items in our office through Wednesday, Nov 24. Members of the church who help with the Blessing Box are suggesting that the following items are going the fastest:
- Cereal, breakfast bars, crackers, and Pop Tarts
- Jarred pasta sauces
- Items for holiday meals like stuffing, instant mashed potatoes, and gravy
- Canned fruits and vegetables with pop-top lids
Just swing by the drive-thru window with your donations during business hours. We’ll be happy to send you off with a shiny new 2022 calendar.
